Adaptation Pathways Network
The Adaptation Pathways Network is a platform for planners, practitioners and stakeholders around the globe to interact and develop leading practice approaches to decision making in the face of long term change. Our initial focus is on climate change adaptation.
Our objectives are to:
- lead to greater implementation of adaptation action through increased adoption of adaptation pathways approaches;
- build capacity amongst adaptation planners in developed and developing countries with respect to emerging adaptation planning approaches, with an initial focus on adaptation pathways;
- build a collaborative learning model that enables members to work together and share their experiences to develop leading practice adaptation strategies; and
- generate opportunities for network participants to work with implementers on adaptation projects.
This website
This website is the beginnings of a portal to consolidate access to work on adaptation pathways. We aim to link to a variety of tools and examples of different uses of pathways thinking, and will gradually develop some guidance as to which ones may help you in different situations. We are keen to have your feedback on how useful this website is, what could be improved, and also examples of the use of adaptation pathways (please see the feedback box at the bottom of this page).
Further material on how to choose what approaches might be most relevant to you will appear here soon.
